Like you, I am a new father. My wife and I have a 9 month old boy and we are already talking about how we are going to send him to college. I make a good living, my wife is in Law School and with her potential income our budget tells us we will just barely be able to support our family, not including the fluffy stuff like vacations, big houses and fancy cars. Given the cost of a college education is approximately $40,000 a year for a private institution, combined with disproportionate inflation in the college tuition sector, we will never be able to provide the opportunity for our children to attend good colleges. Until now.
